Lecturing and Course Development in Osteopathy

 

Meg Bowyer of Broadstairs Osteopathic Clinic trained at Maidstone College under the tutelage of Mr John Wernham. Graduating in 1988, she has been actively involved in supervision, lecturing and course development in both post- and under-graduate courses. Her experience has included lecturing in many European Countries: England, Sweden, Finland, Belgium and the Irish Republic.

 

1.    Under-Graduate Cousework – full and part-time courses:

·         Clinical Supervision

·         Principles, Practice and Philosophy of Osteopathy

·         Applied Anatomy

·         Bio-mechanics

·         Body Adjustment

 

2.    Post-Graduate Course Lectures over 2/3 days

·         Treatment of babies and young children

·         Treatment of children aged 7-12 years – developmental prospective related to bio-mechanics and neurological development, e.g. eczema/asthma relationship

·         The Vagus Nerve – The Great Controller Nerve

·         The Vagus Revisited – through Vital Force and the Emotions

·         Bio-mechanics – as a basis for diagnosis and treatment planning, with application through the Body Adjustment

 

3.    Appearing as keynote Speaker presenting the following topics:

·         Treatment of Stroke patients

·         Children with Cerebral Palsy

·         Children with Learning Difficulties – Retained primitive reflexes, Diagnosis and Remediation. Why osteopathy can be so helpful for these children

·         Bio-mechanics as per Fryette, Littlejohn, Wernham, et al

·         Fertility

·         Osteopathy and the Emotions

 

 

Inclusive Courses
